Happy Holidays from Marine Atlantic

I’m always amazed at how quickly time can pass. Here we are, another year has come and gone, offering us all an opportunity to stand back and reflect on the past twelve months – our successes, achievements, and improvements. We also have the opportunity to prepare for the potential offered by a new year.

At Marine Atlantic, we are continuing to move forward with our aggressive agenda of vessel, shore-based infrastructure and business process renewal. Over the past year we have started or continued a significant amount of infrastructure work at all three of our terminal properties, and introduced or renewed a number of business processes. From new buildings and docks, technology upgrades, improved maintenance and fuel practices and strengthened financial processes, we are getting closer every day to achieving our goal of becoming a modern and efficient Corporation offering you, our customer, a higher level of service. With our ongoing efforts to strengthen safety, reliability and efficiency, we are confident we will be even better in 2015.

During the holiday season, we are very pleased to play an important role in helping with your preparations and plans. Whether you are a passenger travelling home for Christmas, ordering a special gift from your favourite store, or buying that special holiday meal, Marine Atlantic is an integral part of the journey. As the only daily ferry service between the Island of Newfoundland and the rest of Canada, our employees work each and every day, including the holiday season, to meet your needs.

While you celebrate everything the season has to offer, take the time to ensure that you put safety at the top of everything you do. A little planning, precaution and awareness can mean all the difference in the world. And if you plan to celebrate with alcohol, please don’t drink and drive.

On behalf of everyone at Marine Atlantic, I want to wish you and your families the best of the holiday season, a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Our commitment is to continue working to serve your business and personal needs in 2015.
