The tourism industry in Newfoundland and Labrador continues to be a strong success story employing thousands of people each year and providing significant economic benefits throughout the province. As an industry partner with the tourism sector, Marine Atlantic is very pleased to continue our ongoing commitment to listening, consulting and working with tourism operators to improve our service and better meet your needs.
As part of this ongoing commitment, our corporation is a sponsor of the 2015 Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador (HNL) Conference and Trade Show being held in Gander from February 24-26. As the voice of the provincial tourism industry, this year’s HNL conference will once again promote everything that Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer, and provide strategic guidance and outreach to develop new opportunities and further strengthen our growing tourism sector.
This year’s conference theme is enhancing customer experiences, something that has been a priority for Marine Atlantic over the past few years as we continue moving towards our goal of becoming a modern and efficient corporation offering a high level of customer service. We have already renewed our fleet, introduced and upgraded our passenger amenities, and invested in our shore-based infrastructure and business processes. This spring we will officially open a brand new modern, efficient and environmentally friendly terminal in North Sydney to better serve our customers travelling to Newfoundland, while customers travelling through Port aux Basques and Argentia will experience the terminal upgrades that have recently been completed at both of these ports. All of our investments have been designed to strengthen our customers’ experience while travelling with us.
As part of the trade show, Marine Atlantic will have a booth and knowledgeable staff available to answer any questions you may have regarding our service.
