Proud of our History - the SS Princess of Acadia

Marine Atlantic, its predecessor CN Marine, and pre-confederation Newfoundland coastal boats have a strong and proud history serving the people of Atlantic Canada through ferry terminals, passenger vessels and rail service.

With the ability to carry up to 1000 passengers, 120 cars, and boxcar freight, the vessel significantly increased capacity for the Bay of Fundy service during the 1960s.

We hope you enjoy these photos of the last steamship vessel used on the New Brunswick – Nova Scotia service.
