Salty Visits Argentia

Marine Atlantic had the distinct pleasure of recently welcoming “Salty”, the huggable Newfoundland dog mascot for Downhome Magazine, to our terminal property in Argentia.

A number of employees and customers took the opportunity to pose with the easily recognizable canine as he toured and provided his downhome Newfoundland charm to those in and around the terminal facility.

Salty’s visit corresponded with Marine Atlantic and Downhome magazine’s recent joint venture that provides passengers on board our vessels with a complimentary copy of the latest issue of the magazine.

Downhome magazine is well-known for its focus on the culture and lifestyle of Newfoundland and Labrador, presenting interesting stories, articles, facts and interviews each month that are certainly being well-received by the many tourists, local residents, and commercial customers that use our service on a daily basis.

A special thank you to Salty for his visit and the lasting memories he left behind. Marine Atlantic looks forward to continue working with Downhome magazine in the months ahead.
