Things to Know Before You Go – Does Marine Atlantic sell Gravol onboard the Vessels?

While Marine Atlantic offers convenient and comfortable travel options to sail between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, the weather in this area of the North Atlantic Ocean can sometimes be challenging. For land lovers who haven’t yet grown their sea legs, Gravol or motion sickness medication can help relieve some of the symptoms associated with motion sickness while at sea.

Unfortunately, Marine Atlantic is not permitted to sell Gravol or motion sickness medications as it is a regulated product that must be obtained from an authorized pharmacy.

If you aren’t used to sailing or believe there is a possibility that you may experience motion sickness, we recommend that you purchase the appropriate motion sickness medication before you board the vessel.
