We Remember

Whether it was the Royal Newfoundland Regiment that bravely fought 101 years ago during World War I, the valiant Nova Scotian highland regiments that were an integral part of World War II, the peacekeepers whose efforts protect civilians in war zones or the thousands of military personnel who serve our country today, your efforts are valued and we say thank you.

Marine Atlantic is proud that two of our vessels honour those who have fought for freedom: the MV Blue Puttees, a nickname for the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and the MV Highlanders, honouring the Highland regiments of Nova Scotia.

On November 11, please join in a moment of silence and remember all those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom and democracy. Lest we forget.
