Marine Atlantic to Construct New Administration Building in Port aux Basques

Marine Atlantic is pleased to advise that final approval has been received from the Government of Canada to proceed with a new administration building to be located at 175 Hardy's Arterial Road in the Town of Channel-Port aux Basques.

The multi-year project will address current space and infrastructure challenges and consolidate administrative functions currently located at several buildings in the town.

The new facility will offer improved space and amenities for employees and operations, have a strengthened focus on openness, collaboration, employee wellness and environmental responsibility as well as be near schools, daycare services and recreational facilities.

Initial site preparation activities will begin in the weeks ahead with the building tentatively scheduled to open in the 2023/24 fiscal year.
